This snare drum is being sold as a fixer-upper and is priced to reflect that. It only needs a few parts to be fully functional. The shell and all currently attached components are in excellent working condition.

Up until 1982 this was the best metal snare that Yamaha could offer. some would argue it's still made better than the newer , 900 models. This snare offers a rich metallic brass sound with great projection. The Yamaha's super sensitive design allows the snare wires to create that iconic snare buzz.
