The triangle belongs to the classical percussion instruments and is also used in Orff music therapy. It is made from a bar of sound steel with a diameter of 6 millimeters which is bent into a triangle shape. At one corner the triangle remains open for a better sound. The length of the triangle's legs is 10 centimeters.
A steel mallet is used to strike the triangle. The sound varies depending on the striking position on the sides of the instrument. The handle of the triangle as well as the handle of the mallet are turned from a dark laminated beech wood. These high-quality handles add an exclusive character to the triangle.
