Premier Mayfair 5x14" tube lug brass snare from the 1930s

Premier Percussion has been making outstanding drums since 1922 when Albert Della Porta partnered with George Smith. The company began manufacturing drums in London, England but didn't start creating their own branded drums until later down the line. 

One of the first snares Premier produced was the Premier Mayfair back in the mid 1920s. This innovative snare payed a big part in Premiers success. so much so that in the 1930s they began recreating this model under the name 'New Mayfair'. 

Considering its age, this snare is in great condition and still continues to look great after all these years. Snares like these are incredblly desired collectors items due tho their increasing value.
