Leedy Drum Company (also known as Leedy Manufacturing Company) began creating drums around the turn of the 20th century. Leedy Drum Company was at the fore front of innovative drum and hardware ideas, patenting the first adjustable snare stand in 1899. Once they joined forces with Ludwig, they became the largest drum company in the world and were creating top of the range, sought after snare drums.
One of these sought after snare drums was the Leedy Broadway Parallel snare drum. It's nickel over brass, hand engraved 'Thunderbird' Shell sounds incredible even after all these years. The value of this snare drum is subject to its rich history and rarity. For many collectors and drum enthusiasts the Leedy Broadway Parallel snare drum is the 'Black Beauty' of this era.
