The SONOR D 515 PA Phonic Reissue Snare Drum is a faithful recreation of the legendary SONOR Phonic Series, bringing back the iconic sound, appearance and craftsmanship of one of SONOR's most celebrated snare drums.

Featuring an extra-heavy 15-ply beech wood shell with a substantial 10.5 mm thickness, this snare delivers the powerful, focused and rich tonal character that made the original Phonic series so renowned. Finished in an elegant Rosewood veneer with a semi-gloss lacquer, it combines a timeless vintage aesthetic with exceptional German engineering.

Every detail has been carefully recreated, including the classic Phonic double lugs, slotted tension rods and authentic Phonic badge. While retaining the original character, the reissue incorporates modern enhancements such as SONOR's TuneSafe System for improved tuning stability and reliability.

Fitted with die-cast hoops and precision 45° bearing edges, the D 515 PA offers excellent tuning precision, control and projection. Manufactured in Germany using SONOR's CLTF (Cross Laminated Tension Free) construction and OSM (Optimum Shell Measurement) methods, this is a premium snare drum built to deliver outstanding performance.
