Il pèse 26 grammes et convient parfaitement aux chefs d'orchestre qui aiment avoir un peu plus de poids dans leurs mains lorsqu'ils dirigent. Le manche en forme de larme en bois de rose de haute qualité est ergonomique et très confortable dans la main. Peu après la prise en main se trouve le point d'équilibre du Smetana.
Le bâton est très équilibré. Il mesure 370 millimètres de long et est fabriqué en fibre de verre blanche. Cela le rend extrêmement stable et solide.
