SONOR | SSD | 13" x 5.75" | BG SDB 2.0 | Benny Greb Signature | Brass Snare Drum

The SONOR SSD 13x5.75 BG SDB 2.0 Benny Greb Signature Brass Snare Drum is the latest evolution of SONOR's highly successful collaboration with world-renowned drummer Benny Greb. Celebrating 10 years since the original signature snare was introduced, this updated model brings together premium materials, innovative engineering and Benny's distinctive approach to sound and musical expression.

Designed to deliver warmth, sensitivity and exceptional tonal versatility, this signature snare features a 1.2 mm brass shell with a beautiful Aged Brass finish. Brass is renowned for its naturally warm, rounded tonal character, producing rich fundamentals and pleasant overtones that enhance rimshots while maintaining excellent articulation and sensitivity.

The 13" × 5.75" dimensions, originally developed for Benny's signature wooden snare, provide an excellent balance of low-end presence, responsiveness and snare sensitivity. The result is a metal-shell snare with a distinctive voice, capable of delivering everything from subtle, controlled playing to powerful, cutting backbeats.

The drum features stylish 1950s-inspired Vintage Teardrop Lugs, 2.3 mm Power Hoops and SONOR's advanced Dual Glide Snare Strainer for precise adjustment and reliable performance. The integrated TuneSafe System helps maintain tuning stability, while SONOR's OSM (Optimum Shell Measurement) manufacturing process ensures exceptional precision.

For added tonal control, the Benny Greb Signature Brass Snare includes two integrated MonoRail dampeners, supplied with interchangeable dampening pads. This innovative system allows you to tailor the drum's resonance and sustain to suit different musical styles and playing situations.
