Traditionally, timbales sticks - unlike drum sticks - are even in diameter and have no head at their tip. This means that the balance is off and the sound of the ride cymbal is affected. Together with Josè Cortijo we have developed special timbales sticks that combine the characteristics of a drumstick with those of timbales.
