The Gretsch Brooklyn 14 x 5.5'' Mike Johnston 'Standard' Snare Drum is built to be versatile in every way, while retaining the core character that defines the Brooklyn series. The dynamic range is wide and excels in any playing situation, within a wide variety of tunings. The snare dampening system offers further control over the tone and timbre of the snare drum. A quick twist of the strainer can completely evolve your sound from a head nodding rock beat to a super-tight electronic vibe.

The supply is limited. On the inside, the drum is signed by Mike Johnston. But Gretsch and Mike wanted to ensure the price would be accessible to students and drummers looking to take on their first pro-level snare, as well as the drumming veterans. After 9 months of development and evaluation, the new Brooklyn Standard has been set.
