Yamaha’s recording customs never disappoint. Here at Rubix we are a big fan of the recording customs as they always sound incredible. Especially for the price. Their re-imagined modern design retains the original recording custom features. They have brilliant one piece lugs designed to optimise sustain and help create a snappy tone.

Yamaha’s 6ply, 6mm birch shells are exactly what you would expect from a birch drum. Birch is great because it is punchy but also works well in close proximity to other drums, reducing unwanted noise. The snare has a 30 degree round edge alongside a 1.6mm triple flanged hoop built to Yamaha’s high production standard.
