C‌amco Drums originated from the US back in 1961. Unlike other major American drum companies such as Ludwig, Gretsch, Rogers and Slingerland, Camco focused more on Jazz drummers. This decision to only endorse a hand full of rock drummers during the large wave of rock influence is suggested to have given Camco an old-fashoined image.

In 1977 Camco would sell their assets to DW and Tama, putting an end to their short but successful life. Due to their short life span, Camco items have become very hard to find and are highly sought after by both players and collectors.

Individually these items are very rare (especially the hi-hat stand) but to be found as a set is almost unheard of. The Hi-Hat comes with its original Camco Clutch. The condition of these Camcos are still great after all these years. These items are desirably light weight and play light to. The vintage leather straps still have life in them and as a whole still play smoothly. The bass drum pedal is identical to the famous Gretsch floating action pedal.
