A piece of drumming history. This Leedy Broadway snare drum from the 1930's is a single ply piece of maple that has been steam bent, with reinforcement rings.
With original, engraved hoops, lugs and tension rods, and finished in a rare green sparkle finish that has aged incredibly well (this snare is nearly 100 years old!).
The strainer has been replaced with a Leedy/Slingerland style strainer and butt end, and the holes have been filled. There are several areas where the parallel system has been removed that you can see where holes have been filled, but we think this adds to the character of this drum.
Superb under mic, this snare is the real deal.
